     Florene M. Veeder was born about 1861 in Wisconsin, daughter of E. W. Veeder and Louisa E. Arling.1

Florene M. Veeder appeared on the Waterloo, Jefferson County, New Hampshire, census of 1870 in the household of Madison Arling. The household also included Abigal, Louisa E. Arling, James Davis and Jane Rhods. Flora (daughter of Louisa) is listed as a white female of age 9 born in Wisconsin.4

According to the census of June 1, 1880, Florene was living at home with her mother and step-father (John English) in Lake Mills, Jefferson County, Wisconsin. She was 19 years old, single and attending school. Her biological father is shown as having been born in New York and her mother was born in Vermont.5

Florene M. Veeder appeared on the Lake Mills census of 1910 in the household of Louisa E. English. Florene is listed as Louisa's daughter, single at age 49.2


Florene M. Veeder appeared on the Lake Mills census of January, 1920 in the household of Louisa E. English. Florene is still living with her mother and is still single at age 59. Niether of them work at a trade or profession.6

Florene M. Veeder appeared in the Lake Mills census of April 4, 1930 as head of household.. At this time her mother Louisa must have past away as she was living alone and owned her own home valued at $5000. She did not have a radio. She was 69 years old and still single.7
