     Katie Oehrle Borrett was born in June, 1893, daughter of Alfred W. Borrett and Sarah Jane Foote.2

According to the US census of June 19, 1900, Katie was living at home with her parents in Mallory Township, Clayton County, Iowa. She was six years old. Her name was recorded as Catherine.3
