     Arnold Hachmann was born on Thursday, August 31, 1916 in St. Donatus at Tete des Morts, Jackson County, Iowa, son of Eibe Henry Hachmann and Wilhelmina Adickes.1,2

Arnold married Alice Schnittgrund in 1937.2

He was a product specialist training director at John Deere Dubuque Works before his retirement. He was a World War II Navy veteran, having served as a flight engineer. He was a member of John Deere Retirees and the American Legion Post 73 of Bellevue, Iowa.2,3

Arnold died on Monday, June 3, 1991 in Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa, at age 74. He died at 12:45 a.m. at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit.2 He was laid to rest in the Dubuque Memorial Gardens in Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa. Services were held at 11 a.m. at St Paul Lutheran Church. Friends were invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. the day before at the Egelhof-Casper-Stueber Funeral Home and one hour before the actual service at the church.

He was survived by his wife and three daughters.2
