Harry married Sadie Elizabeth Smith in 1918 in Galena, Jo Daviess County, Illinois. She was the daughter of John Smith and Sarah Louisa Minger.1,3,4

Harry appeared in the Crown Point, Lake County, Indiana, US census of January, 1920 as head of household. He was recorded as a laborer, 22 years old.. The household also included Sadie, his wife. Due to the poor quality of the census image, birth locations were difficult to read. She was recorded as being 23 years old. (Other sources indicate that she was actually 25 years old.) Two children were living at home. Sadie's daughter, Gwendolyn age 3, was recorded as Harry's daughter, but other research indicates that she may have been his step-daughter. Their son, John, was less than a year old.2

Harry died in 1945.4
