     Ralph Rudolph Moser was born on Saturday, January 22, 1898, son of Rudolph Moser and Mary E. Schrunk.1



Ralph was a veteran of WWI and served in the Casualty Detachment 502-163rd D.B. He was last assigned to 328 Reg't. He was overseas from 14 July 1918, until 9 May 1919. He was in battle in the Marbache sector 17 Aug. to 20 Sept., St. Miheil offensive 12-16 Sept., and the Meuse Argonne offensive, 7 Oct. to 11 Nov. 1918.1

Ralph married Opal Irene Borrett, daughter of William John Borrett and Jessie Kolker, on December 24, 1924, in Guttenberg, Clayton County, Iowa.1

Ralph and Opal were blessed with three children. Donald, born in 1927 at Osterdock; Curtis born in 1928 at Colesburg; and Lois born in 1931. Opal died about 3 weeks after her daughter was born.1 Ralph continued to farm in Sec. 35, in Mallory Township, Clayton County, Iowa.1

Ralph married Geneva Brown on January 24, 1936.1 Ralph Rudolph Moser built a large estate.1

On January 17, 1947, his son, Donald, married Betty Ruth Troester.3

Ralph died on January 26, 1976 at age 78 and is buried in Bethel as is Opal, his first wife.1
