Alvina Steinfadt1

(December 26, 1890 - January 5, 1978)
     Alvina Steinfadt was born on Friday, December 26, 1890.1

At age 23, Alvina married Harry Barnhart on Wednesday, June 10, 1914. Harry was 23 years old.1

Alvina appeared on the Mallory Township, Clayton County, Iowa, US census of January, 1920 living with her husband, Harry. She was 29 years old. They owned their own home, which was mortgaged. Three children were living at home; Lowell age four, Kathleen age three, and Marjorie who was eight months old.2

Seven children were born to Alvina and Harry.1

She became a widow at age 76 when her husband, Harry, died on July 15, 1967.1

Alvina died on Thursday, January 5, 1978. She was 87 years old.1 She was laid to rest in the Brown Cemetery in Colesburg, Delaware County, Iowa.1
