     Mary Jane Lenhart was born in 1863, daughter of Peter Lenhart and Salina Minervia Neff.1

Mary married Avery West.1

Mary appeared on the Otter Creek Township, Jackson County, Iowa, US census of June 13, 1900 living with her husband, Avery. She was 27 years old. She and Avery had been married for 3 years and she was the mother of 1 child (living). The child, Earl, was recorded as one year old and he had been born in Iowa. Mary Jane's mother , Salina, was also in the household. She was 66 years old, born in Pennsylvania, and listed as a boarder.2

Mary died in 1934.1
